Figure below presents the most tight conformations I managed to find using the SONO algorithm. All prime knots with up to 8 crossings and a few composite knots are shown. Geometric parameters of the knots, in particular their L/D values, are specified within a separate page. If you manage to find a different conformation whose L/D value is lower, you will prove that the conformation I present here is not ideal.
